Compensation Disclosure

How Annuity Index may be compensated when we connect consumers with participating financial professionals.

Effective date: August 24, 2026

Important summary Consumers are not charged by Annuity Index for using our educational resources, comparison experience, or professional-connection service. Annuity Index may receive a fixed marketing or appointment-arrangement fee from a participating financial firm when a qualified appointment is booked, whether or not the consumer ultimately purchases a financial or insurance product.

1. Our role

Annuity Index is an educational and marketing platform that helps consumers learn about general annuity categories, features, and considerations. When requested, we may connect a consumer with an independent financial professional who is appropriately licensed for the consumer’s state.

Annuity Index is not acting as the consumer’s financial advisor, insurance agent, attorney, accountant, or fiduciary through the operation of this website. Information provided on this website is general and educational and should not be treated as individualized financial, legal, tax, or insurance advice.

2. How Annuity Index may be paid

Participating financial firms or professionals may pay Annuity Index a fixed marketing or appointment-arrangement fee for a qualified booked appointment. This fee may be paid whether or not:

  • The consumer keeps or attends the appointment;
  • The professional recommends a particular product;
  • The consumer applies for or purchases an annuity; or
  • Any financial transaction is ultimately completed.

The consumer does not pay this marketing fee to Annuity Index.

3. Potential financial incentive

Because Annuity Index may be compensated for arranging an appointment, we have a financial incentive to connect consumers with participating professionals. This compensation may create a potential conflict of interest, and consumers should consider this fact when deciding whether to request or accept a professional introduction.

Consumers are never required to meet with an introduced professional, purchase a product, or continue a conversation after the initial connection.

4. Participating professionals

Financial professionals and firms participating in the Annuity Index network operate independently from Annuity Index. Each professional is responsible for maintaining the licenses and registrations required for the services and products they offer.

The professional—not Annuity Index—is responsible for evaluating a consumer’s individual circumstances, making any recommendation, explaining product terms, delivering required disclosures, and determining whether a product is appropriate under applicable laws and professional standards.

5. Products, carriers, and comparisons

Annuity Index may provide educational information about several annuity categories and insurance carriers. Our website does not necessarily include every carrier, contract, rate, rider, or product available in the marketplace.

A carrier’s participation, visibility, or position on this website should not be interpreted as a recommendation or endorsement. Availability, rates, terms, and product features vary by carrier, contract, age, state, and other eligibility factors and may change without notice.

6. Carrier ratings

References to carrier financial-strength ratings are provided for educational purposes. Ratings are issued by independent rating organizations, may change, and are not guarantees of future claims payment, investment performance, or product results.

7. No guarantee of results

Annuity Index does not guarantee that a particular professional, carrier, product, rate, or strategy will be available or appropriate for any consumer. We also do not guarantee the outcome of a consultation, application, financial decision, or insurance purchase.

8. Consumer choice

Consumers remain free to consult other licensed professionals, compare additional products and carriers, request written disclosures, and obtain independent financial, legal, or tax advice before making a decision.

Requesting information or booking an appointment through Annuity Index does not create an obligation to purchase anything.

9. Updates to this disclosure

We may revise this Compensation Disclosure as our services, participating relationships, or legal requirements change. Any revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
